Fluid Systems

Internship Fluid Systems

Agena Space team develops key technologies for future satellite platform and strategy for in-orbit service missions, provides system engineering studies, and supports product manufacturing and integration on the platform.

We are looking for fluid systems intern to join our team for 5/6 months. You will play an active role in the development of our projects to create cutting-edge hardware that will be launched into space.

You will then

  • Piping design and fluid component implementation:
    • Design and model piping systems for our mono-propellant and bi-propellant propulsion systems.
    • Define integration rules for fluid components such as valves, filters, tank filling/draining fittings.
  • Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA):
    • Conduct FMECA analysis to identify and assess potential risks related to fluid systems.
    • Propose solutions to minimize risks and improve system reliability.

  • CFD Analysis and Fluid-Structure Coupling:
    • Conduct CFD simulations to analyze the performance of fluid systems.
    • Conduct fluid-structure coupling computations to validate the thermal performance of engine cooling systems.

  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with our engineering team to optimize designs.
    • Document design processes, modifications, and test results.
    • Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions

Must have

  • Interest in the space industry and propulsion technologies.
  • Proficiency in CFD simulation and fluid-structure coupling. StarCCM+ preferred.
  • Knowledge of FMECA analysis
  • Ability to work in a team, proactive attitude, and autonomy.
  • Have a voracious appetite for knowledge.
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required. Fluency in French is a plus.
